The Reform UK party leader abandoned his constituents again to meet supporters at a private function in Newcastle instead of attending the 10-year initiative. It is the TENTH time Farage – nicknamed “Nine Jobs Nigel” for his lucrative side-hustles outside of his MP day-job – has failed to turn up to meetings of the Clacton Town Board since he was elected in June 2024. Instead of discussing the future regeneration of Clacton – one of the UK’s most deprived areas – he was seen at the upmarket Hibou Blanc on January 30. He was on Tyneside where it is believed he met supporters and potential Reform members. Ensure our latest headlines always appear at the top of your Google Search by making us a Preferred Source. A source said: “For an MP who proclaims to be a ‘man of the people’, this isn’t a good look. “He’d rather be dining out at expensive restaurants than discussing the future of his constituency. It shows an MP more focused on his own interests than those of the people he represents.” Mr Farage’s arrival on Tyneside attracted a small crowd of around a dozen protesters, who brandished signs with slogans like “far right swine out the Tyne” as he stepped out of a black Range Rover. And the restaurant owners have also faced a backlash online, with Trip Advisor reviews blasting the cocktail bar’s “far right atmosphere”. One person wrote: “Some might call the atmosphere right. I call it far right.” View 5 Images Mr Farage was met by protestors who chanted at the Reform MP outside Hibou Blanc as he arrived for the meeting (Image: Craig Connor/ChronicleLive) Farage has failed to personally contribute to the £20m plan of delivering a 10-year vision to rejuvenate one of Britain’s most deprived areas. Instead, since being elected, he has made more than £1million in earnings on top of his £93,904 salary as an MP. Last month the Mirror revealed Farsage was given VIP passes worth £10,000 to watch December’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Minutes from Tendring District Council’s Clacton Town Board reveal Farage, 61, has repeatedly sent his “apologies” for missing meetings since 2024. On one occasion he sent Reform Coun
